Use the app to play music files stored on your device, which we call local files.
Note: Files or downloads from illegal sources are not permitted.
For: Premium
- On desktop, import your local files (with the 'Desktop' steps).
- Add the files to a new playlist.
- Log in on your mobile or tablet using the same WiFi as your desktop.
- Go to Settings > Local Files and switch on Local audio files.
Note: You need to allow Spotify to find devices in the prompt that shows. - Download the playlist with your local files.

Both Spotify and Sonos are pretty good. All they do is request the music instantly which is then streamed to your Sonos speakers from Spotify servers - not your phone. I'm a fan of the Sonos app. It's very intuitive and reliable.

- Switch off any sources you don't want.
- Click ADD A SOURCE to select another folder.
Music from that folder is now in Local Files in the menu on the left.

The iTunes lossless format (M4A) isn't supported.

Super Easy Set-up
Step 1. Spotify playlist organizer app 2019. Download the Sonos app on mobile and run Sono speakers on your Wi-Fi. You can also download Sonos app on desktop.
Step 2. In the Sonos app, please choose 'Add Music Services' from the 'Music' pane, select 'Spotify', and then click 'Next'. (Make sure Control Sonos from Spotify is turned on the Settings).
Step 3. Choose 'I already have an account' and click 'Next' to enter your login details to allow Sonos.
Control Sonos with Spotify Connect
Step 1. Open Spotify app on your device. Please make sure your device using Spotify is on the same Wi-Fi network as Sonos system.
Step 2. Play your favorite playlist on Spotify app and tap 'Devices Available' option. Note: Podcasts are unsupported on Sonos.
